So, the wedding is over. No more planning, dress-fittings or menu-tastings to occupy your time. However, the matrimonial celebrations don’t stop there! Many newly-weds head off on holiday following their big day, whether that’s a mini-moon for a short break, or a long-haul adventure that’s been a long time coming.
Whichever it is you have chosen, you’ll want to carry your new-bride vibes forward and not worrying about a full makeup routine whilst you’re having the time of your life.
I’ve already shared how to keep your makeup looking lovely for your wedding day, but there are also plenty of tips and tricks to take along with you on your honeymoon without having to take hundreds of products and gadgets to ensure you can relax but feel great.
BB or CC cream
Instead of a heavy foundation, your skin will thank you if you simply wear a good BB or CC cream, which is moisturising, includes SPF but also has a hint of coverage. An excellent one (and well within budget!) is Garnier’s Original BB Cream, perfect on its own or with a concealer to hide any blemishes.
Bronzer and highlighter
A sweep of bronzer, complemented by a brilliant highlighter will set off a brand-new tan and give you a beautiful glowing-from-within vibe. Try the cult classic Benefit’s Hoola Lite for a sun-kissed complexion, topped off with Shimmering Skin Perfector by BECCA.
Not only will a decent setting spray stop your make-up sliding off your face if you’ve headed to sunnier climes, but Mario Badescu’s Aloe, Sage and Orange Blossom spray will give you a dewy complexion but also calm and restore balance in your skin.
SPF lip balm
You may be covered in factor 50 but don’t forget your lips! Eos Aloe Vera SPF30 will protect your lips while keeping them soft, supple and sheeny.
Holiday hair is the best hair for relaxed, boho-chic styles. Add to the sea-salty texture with Bumble and Bumble’s Texture Spray for workable hair.,
Where are you heading on your honeymoon? Far-flung or a little closer to home? Before that though, I’d love to be part of your big day – feel free to get in touch to hear more about what I can offer you.
