Spring bride

How amazing is this weather? I’m so grateful for some spring wedding vibes at last, after a long, chilly winter. And, it’s showing at my wedding makeup trials too. I’m ditching heavier matte lipsticks and bolder colours, and going for something altogether more dewy and light!

If you’re planning a spring (or early summer) wedding, here are some makeup tips to inspire your look.

Dewy complexion

You want to look (and feel!) like you’re glowing from within on your wedding day. With a dewy makeup look, you’ll end up looking fresh-faced and glorious. I often use MAC Strobe Cream under foundation to boost my brides complexions with its iridescent particles. Remember, we want to enhance your natural features, not mask them.

A spring glow

Keeping it simple yet modern, compliment a beautiful complexion with a rosy hue such as Bumpy Ride by NARS, to achieve romantic, ‘just pinched’ cheeks.

Gorgeous eyes

For a natural but glam bridal look, incorporating a little glitter into your eye makeup works beautifully to pull the whole look together. The Gatsby Eye Glitter from Peaches Makeup is a favourite of mine.

Subtle lips

Sticking with the theme of a light and natural look, we can make the most of your lips without going too bold, using a slick of Too Faced’s Peach Tease lip gloss.

To me, a spring bride is a fresh bride. You want to find hair and makeup true to your natural style and that fits the vibe of your wedding, but you also want to feel like a goddess! If you’re feeling confident, it’ll shine through and add to your natural beauty.

It’s always fun to experiment, so why not book a trial with me? This way, you’re sure to find the perfect look that makes you feel like the best version of yourself and that will work in those all-important wedding photos.

Love,
