Bridal Makeup Inspiration for Autumn Weddings

The autumn months are a great time to get married and the colour palette is what dreams are made of. Warm, bronzed tones with deep, rich red and berry lips, all complete with a flawless, glowing base. Autumn wedding makeup for brides leads the way for neutral smoky eyes, lightly bronzed contours and a hint of glimmer. Playing ‘seasonally’ with makeup is so much fun and is a great way to add the finishing touches to your wedding theme.

We’ve pulled together some inspiration for you, if you’re hoping to have an Autumn wedding or perhaps one even later in the year. Remember, these are just ideas – we can make your bridal makeup look work for you.

Lips to the forefront

In summer, brides may opt for natural lip shades or stick to those wonderful nude pink tones, but in colder months it is easy to bring those darker shades front and centre, which us makeup artists love! A plum is a favourite right now, and I love the shade Diva from MAC – how gorgeous!

Subtle smokey eyes

2020 has been a year for a focus on eyes as we’ve all been wearing masks, but as big weddings are making a comeback, a new lighter smokey eye, featuring greys will be big for autumn and heading into 2022. A softer smokey eye works especially if you’re making the most of those bold, plum shades – just add some delicate but structured eyeliner to pull the look together. I love Brushstroke 24-hour Liner by MAC.

Glowing complexion

Whatever the weather, a healthy glow is what all brides need! In the Autumn, you can keep a clear complexion with a light pink flush, or go a little heavier and contoured by using a bit of bronzer – especially on warmer skin tones. A brilliant product to use for this look is Charlotte Tilbury’s Filmstar Bronze and Glow

Strong brows

Frame your face with some stronger brows to complete the bridal look. Thicker, bushier brows are in, but you can still have fantastic brows even if you want to achieve a more subtle look. With Boy Brow from Glossier, you can build the coverage, going in as heavy or as light as you prefer, while still looking well-groomed and defined either way!
