Autumnal bride in white dress

Autumn is a beautiful time to get married, with changing colours and cooler climate. It seems only five minutes ago we looked at some inspiration for summer wedding makeup, which focused on a sunkissed glow and a pop of bright colour! Whilst the autumn evenings begin to draw in sooner, the season gives us a wonderful palette of colour to work with, with deep reds, oranges and darker nudes.

Unsure on how to make these work for your big day? I’ve gathered some inspiration to make your choice easier.

Smoke it up

A cooler wedding day is the perfect excuse to apply a little heavier makeup. Not too much, but enough to add some dramatic, glamorous flair to your look. Using the Soft Glam Palette by Anastasia Beverley Hills, apply the beautiful autumnal shade Burnt Orange followed by working the darker shade Cyprus Umber into the crease, which will intensify the makeup and ensure all eyes are on you.

A bold lip

Set off your more dramatic wedding style with a perfect autumn lip for a stronger, braver look. There’s something for everyone, depending on your skin tone, but I love Marrakesh by MAC for a high colour payoff.

Soft and subtle makeup

If you don’t feel like rocking rich autumn shades, you can always choose a natural and neutral makeup that will make you look softer and feminine. Gold, beige, nude colours such as the Peaches and Cream Pigment in Rose Gold are here to help. This makeup is perfect for rustic weddings, if you would like to look more relaxed.

A beautiful glow

No matter the season, glowing cheekbones are always in fashion. Apply the Beauty Light Wand by Charlotte Tilbury to the tops of your cheekbones for a subtle, illuminated complexion. This rose-gold liquid highlighter will add a dreamy glow that looks as good in person as it will in your wedding photos!

When are you getting married? Have you decided on a colour palette yet? I’d be so happy to be part of your special day, so don’t hesitate to get in touch!

Love,
