4 Bridal Trends For 2022 That Will Take Your Wedding To Another Level

We’re hurtling through the year already and wedding season is coming up FAST. If you’re planning your wedding, it’s time to get on board with some of the biggest and best wedding and bridal trends we’re seeing for 2022.

We’ve combined our experience with what people are loving over on the ‘gram to share the hottest wedding trends of 2022 that you need to know about. After all, finding out what’s hot in the year you say “I do” is vital when it comes to planning your special day.

Cast your eye over these wedding trends and see if anything takes your fancy…

Relaxed wedding dresses

Forget boned bodices and pouffey skirts – this year’s dresses are floaty and romantic, with a bohemian vibe. We’ve seen plenty of  unfussy, extra-long chiffon veils and trains, complementing a more casual look. Don’t be afraid of not making a statement – these dresses are just as beautiful as a full ball gown.

Pinks, Peaches and Emerald Greens

These colours are IN for 2022. Expect to see them across weddings in decor and clothing, but equally as much in bridal makeup looks. Products such as this Fenty Beauty palette in Peach will add a wash of beautiful peach colour across eyelids, while Cheek to Chic by Charlotte Tilbury will add a healthy glow to your bridal look.

Boho Elements

The lockdowns last year meant that weddings were more relaxed and rustic, boho elements for weddings became more popular as couples had to compromise away from large and opulent venues. We will see this trend continue into 2022, with more and more brides opting for this rustic, easy look. See this trend in hair via pulled-apart braids with tousled pieces around the face, and lots of greenery in wedding decor.

Bold, vibrant colour

Achieve this trend with a red lip. A classic, and it’s coming back. A pull away from what’s ‘normal’ in our everyday lives has brides wanting to cling on to the traditional. What better way to do this than with a red lip? Achieve this look with Love Bite from Charlotte Tilbury for a glossy smile, or try Ruby Woo by MAC for a more matte iteration of this Hollywood style classic. If you really want to step it up and be different, try Pantone’s Colour of the Year for 2022 – Very Peri – a rich shade of purple!
